Consultant (Technical Computing)

A Technical Computing Consultant is responsible for developing MATLAB based applications and solutions for our clients. Such applications and solutions include:

• Data analysis projects utilising MATLAB.
• Developing customised MATLAB software and/or applications for customers, possibly incorporating one or more add-on products. This includes Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications and “toolbox”-like functionality that customers may incorporate in their own code.
• Providing on-site assistance with MATLAB project ramp-up, implementation and delivery.

As a technical computing consultant, the applicant should have the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelors degree in engineering, applied mathematics or science.
• A minimum of 2 years experience using MATLAB in industry or a Masters or Doctorate qualification.
• A strong knowledge of MATLAB programming. Experience with a broad set of MathWorks tools is a plus.
• The ability to flexibly work in a team, or independently.
• The ability to perform computational analysis, algorithm synthesis and application development tasks.
• The ability and enthusiasm to work directly with customers to help them solve challenging technical computing problems.
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Java and/or Microsoft .NET technologies is a plus.
