Software Developer (Process Industry Applications)

A Software Developer is responsible for developing software applications  for MATLAB and Simuink users, based on C, C++, .NET, Java, MATLAB or combinations thereof. This specific position is for someone to lead the development of Process Industry applications for The MathWorks product family, including OPC technologies.

As a Software Developer (Process Industry Applications), the applicant should have the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science. A postgraduate qualification (Masters or Doctorate) is a plus.
• A strong knowledge of C, C++, Java and/or .NET languages.
• Experience writing COM-based or .NET-based applications.
• Experience with all aspects of the development process, including requirements specification, documentation (technical and user), test code and application programming.
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
• MATLAB and/or Simulink experience would be beneficial.
• Prior experience with writing applications for the minerals, chemical and/or materials processing industries would be beneficial.
