Seminar Invitation: Defence Day - Model-Based Design for High Integrity Systems

Date 07 September 2010
Venue The Innovation Hub, Pretoria
Time 08:30 - 13:15
The global defence industry is facing numerous challenging problems:
How do you make sure your high integrity designs are ready on-time, on-budget?
How do you prepare to work in a multi-disciplinary, team environment where budgets are shrinking and compliance requirements increasing?

Join Jon Willey from MathWorks UK and guest speakers from Armscor and Reutech Radar Systems, as OPTI-NUM solutions explore how you can use MathWorks tools to address some of these challenges.

Highlights

Benefit from Jon Willey's experience interacting with the UK and European defence industry as he demonstrates how MathWorks tools can be used to implement Model-Based Design. Details of the topics to be covered by Jon are shown in the Agenda below.

Guest speakers from Armscor and Reutech Radar Systems will discuss how they have successfully used MathWorks tools to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Lunch will be served after the seminar where you will have an opportunity to interact with the three speakers and engineers from OPTI-NUM solutions.

A detailed agenda, showing the presentation topics and timing is shown below.

Who Should Attend

The defence day presentations have been chosen so that they include both high level topics, such as Return on Investment and technical demonstrations and are therefore applicable to both engineering management and engineers in the defence industry.
