Seminar Invitation: Data Analysis with MATLAB for Excel Users

Date 17 March 2009
Venue Protea Hotel Wanderers
Time 08:30 - 12:00
Engineers, scientists, and data analysts worldwide use MATLAB® to accelerate research and reduce analysis and development time. Attend this free seminar to find out how you and your colleagues can use MATLAB and its add-on products to analyze your data more effectively and to overcome some of the limitations you face in Excel.

During this seminar, an OPTI-NUM solutions’ engineer will demonstrate how you can use MATLAB and related toolboxes to access data from many sources (including Excel), quickly analyze and visualize your data, and share your results with your manager and colleagues.

Please note that this seminar is aimed at people who are interested in MATLAB but are not currently using MATLAB.

Who should attend?

The seminar is relevant to anyone involved in research, data analysis, and product development, including:

  • Research engineers
  • Test and evaluation engineers
  • Calibration engineers
  • Reliability engineers
  • Design engineers
  • Data analysts
  • Scientists

Seminar Highlights

This seminar highlights how MATLAB can supplement the analysis you do in Excel. Through product demonstrations, you will see how you can use the MATLAB product family to:

  • Access data from many sources, including spreadsheets (such as Excel), various file formats, databases, hardware acquisition and test and measurement instruments, and other software applications
  • Quickly explore, analyze, and visualize data with easy-to-use visual interfaces and built-in engineering functions
  • Perform statistical analysis, curve fitting, and more
  • Customize and automate analysis and reporting
  • Develop and deploy applications
