Verushen Coopoo is a Specialist in Data Science and Modelling at Opti-Num Solutions. He is passionate about using computational techniques – machine & deep learning; optimisation; signal & image processing and mathematics – to solve complex, societal problems. He has applied data science methods across projects in many industries, including the medical and metallurgical spaces. His intrigue for all the natural sciences led him to earn a BScEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering (Cum Laude) and BEngSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. In his spare time, Verushen enjoys exercising, playing board games and writing in the third-person.
